About Me
I’m Sean Skinner — a Tasmanian-based education technologist and founder of Skinner Studios. I hold a Diploma of Training Design & Development (TAE50216), supported by 3 Diplomas in IT and a Diploma in Management. This mix of vocational, technical, and leadership qualifications gives me the ability to design training that is both compliant and practical.
With over 14 years of experience across state and federal government, I’ve worked in education, compliance, ICT, and workforce capability roles. My projects have included delivering training and systems solutions for the ACCC, Ambulance Tasmania, the Department of Justice, and multiple frontline service teams. I know how to translate policy, standards, and risk into learning that is usable, measurable, and audit-ready.
Outside of government and corporate environments, I’ve also been an active Judo coach and competitor, teaching both children and adults. As a national gold medallist, I understand the discipline, structure, and assessment required to guide learners to real outcomes — experience I draw on when supervising trainers and supporting RTOs.
At Skinner Studios, I combine this background with creative tools — from trainer supervision and validation services to Clarity Workshops, scenario-based eLearning, and simulation kits — helping organisations deliver learning that sticks, not just ticks a box.
